In general, dress is very informal and we encourage you to be comfortable. The opening and closing events are a bit dressier. The fall weather in New England can be unpredictable, so you should plan on layers in October and November. Temperatures drop in February and snow is likely, so plan to bring a winter jacket and appropriate footwear. March is also unpredictable, snow or rain, chilly temperatures or 50s-60s, so bring a raincoat and layers again. The Marriott has a swimming pool, hot tub, and work out area. So, if you are planning to stay there and take advantage of these amenities, feel free to bring a bathing suit and gym clothes.
If you have not yet filled out and returned the HERS Participant Information Form, please do so as soon as possible. Those of you with medical dietary restrictions may indicate them on this form. In general, lunches and dinners are served buffet‐style with a variety of choices and include a vegetarian option. When notified, we make every effort to work with the chefs at the Marriott, Hampton Inn and Wellesley College Club to accommodate food allergies.

Participants who are commuting from other locations are encouraged to join us for breakfast at the hotels on Thursdays and Saturdays and can pick‐up complimentary breakfast vouchers with their program materials Thursday mornings starting at 7:30 am. Coffee and tea service is provided for all participants at the Wellesley College Club on Fridays. Lunch is served every day, and dinner is served on Thursdays in October and February. A HERS 35th Anniversary reception and dinner will be served on Friday in November, and a graduation dinner is served on Friday in March. The program typically ends at 7:00 pm on evenings when dinner is served (unless otherwise indicated) and at 5:00 pm other evenings.
